Gaube Wines

Gaube Wines

The history of viticulture on their farm dates back several generations. However, the winemaking tradition was unfortunately interrupted, and they only began bottling their own wines in 1992. Much has changed since then, but their dedication to the vine and wine has remained the same. They continually embrace the challenge of harmonizing with unpredictable nature and enriching its gifts for their own joy and the delight of wine lovers. They are well-known as producers of fresh, fruity wines that beautifully express the varietal characteristics of each wine. The temperature differences between day and night during grape ripening give Styrian wines their distinctive freshness. The estate is nestled in an amphitheater of the Svečina hills on Špičnik, just below the famous road that winds through the vineyards in the shape of a heart. The location, soil, and favorable climatic conditions allow them to cultivate a wide range of wine styles across nearly 9 hectares of vineyards. Among their main varieties are Green Silvaner and Sauvignon Blanc, followed by Chardonnay, Welschriesling, Pinot Gris, Rhine Riesling, and Yellow Muscat. You can choose from fresh, still, and mostly dry wines, sparkling wines produced by the traditional method, as well as fuller, more mature wines from the Kaspar and Emanuel lines, along with red wine made from Pinot Noir.
