Valdhuber
Our winery is now represented by the fourth generation of winemakers, cultivating 8.5 hectares of vineyards in Svečina, just below the Slovenian-Austrian border. Sauvignon Blanc and Welschriesling make up 50% of all our vineyards, alongside Yellow Muscat, Rhine Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Noir, and Blaufränkisch. We focus on crafting wines that authentically express their terroir, as our vineyards are spread across four distinct locations within the Svečina wine-growing area. The vineyards, aged between 3 and 59 years, are mainly planted on marl-sandy soils, while higher elevations rest on limestone foundations. Our greatest pride is our old Sauvignon Blanc vineyard, planted on our home estate in Jamertal. This vineyard was planted by the first and second generations of our family, long before the third and fourth generations were even born. The Sauvignon Blanc from this vineyard is bottled under a special label named Jamertal. Annual production: 30,000–40,000 bottles.
